The Red Geranium Cafe

Today I tried the Red Geranium for the first time, ordered takeout for me and a couple co workers, was told 15 minutes on the phone. When I arrived 20 minutes later I was stared at while waiting at the hostess kiosk by 2 servers while they assisted tables until 1 of them approached me, and asked if I needed help. I told her I was there for takeout, without a word she walked to the kitchen then reappeared and went back to her tables. 8 minutes passed before a different waitress approached me named Shelly and asked if I had been helped. I told her I don't believe so, and she apologized and was very friendly. Shelly got a 40% TIP for her efforts. The food.... the Sausage biscuit and gravy platter was made with Italian sausage... off putting. Co-worker ordered the cinnamon swirl pancakes they were exactly as described. Another co-worker got the Gardener omelette, they were underwhelmed and found nothing had salt or pepper on it. This restaurant isn't worthy of its google rating; 3.5 at best.

Each plate is Perfection no matter what you order its made with Love. Might be a longer wait then usual since everyone is short staffed. Otherwise great excellent Service from Employees. But 5 stars well deserved

Based on recommendations from a family friend, we had decided to go to the Red Geranium for breakfast after a haircut at Jude's Barbershop down the road. The food was quickly prepared, the service was excellent, and we will more than definitely be coming to the restaurant next time we are in town. The country-fried steak did have a little kick to it (with the pepper), but it was a perfect kick to get my morning started!
