The lady answering the phones is rude and doesn’t portray any Christian principles in her interactions…..good luck getting anything down with this office

Good and quiet place for prayer and mass.

The diocese is raising money for Laura victims. We lost everything. Our apartment was condemned today. They said we can't get into our apartment. We are in Baton rouge in a hotel on our last night. Waiting on FEMA called Red Cross no help 211 no help . Call Catholic Charities of Baton rouge no help. We will be on the street tommorow. I don't understand why people would donate to either charity. We are hiv positive on disability. No help.

Yes, free lunches are being given by Catholic schools this summer to all elementary school age students in Baton Rouge. The locations vary day-to-day, but all children are welcome whether they are enrolled in any public or private school. Please telephone the Child Nutrition Office at 225-387-6421 for the precise dates, times and locations!
All Masses and other services in all of the parishes and other institutions in the Diocese of Baton Rouge have been suspended. The bishop has dispensed all of the faithful from their obligation to attend any of these, so that no one commits any sin by not going to church. It is unfortunate that this health emergency has come at this time of year, since Lent is usually a time of more frequent and fervent prayer, but this could not be helped. You may wish to read the Bible, pray the rosary, use other devotionals, and watch CatholicLife Television more in this time.
Asen? At what temperature? Or perhaps it is Hacen?
A child 7 years old or older is to be baptized if not yet baptized, and then confirmed and given first communion in the same ceremony. While some parishes will organize special catechetical opportunities for such children, many do not, since all that’s needed for a 7-year-old is preparation for first communion at that point. (It’s reasonable to understand that for a, say, 12-year-old it would be good to offer more catechesis on various things.) There is also no time limit required for children or adults within the RCIA or more conventional sacramental education, although often a school year model is convenient.
There is no universal or diocesan norm that forbids weddings during Lent. But few grooms and brides wish to marry during Lent since the liturgical rules which do exist do not allow flowers as decoration during this highly penitential season.
The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter does not have any ministries within the Diocese of Baton Rouge. The pre-conciliar Rite of the Mass is celebrated at St. Agnes Parish in Baton Rouge each Sunday at 9:15 am.
