I lost my job October 23, 2020. Filed unemployment November 15, 2020. Received an approved benefit letter almost immediately. The system made me start over January 6, 2021 - this is now the date my claim goes by instead of the original date I filed. Each week, my claim says a check has been issued for $0.00 although I am approved for benefits with a monetary value up to $14,000+. I haven’t received a penny the entire time and can see the maximum benefits available to me online. No one will return a phone call, the call queue is always full or rings as if it’s off the hook. For months, I would receive an automated call around 7:00 pm stating I’m still in the queue and will be contacted. I’ve contacted the benefits email and the appeals email with zero assistance. I contacted the Mayor’s office and was told they can not assist in any way and to contact the Governor’s office. I informed them i already had. I contacted the Governor’s office again and a woman pretended as though she was going to assist me for several weeks stating that the issue was common and easy to fix with my claim because I worked in Kentucky but am not a Kentucky resident (fully aware of the issue with my claim and fixable). She claimed that the person that directly answers to Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Andy Beshear would probably have my claim fixed within the week and i would be contacted the same day about a solution or the status. It’s now been 7 weeks (27 weeks TOTAL since filing) and my follow up calls are being ignored.

Filed on August 12th, due to a glitch my claim was denied and can't file new claim. Been 6 weeks trying to get hold of a person. Offices closed, never get called back like system says. This state is the worst. Following rest of family to Indusna.

They guide you and help you as best as they can. It isn't really any different than using the computer. When I had to walk in on jan 2nd it was new to me and they were wonderful. I learned alot. I was able to leave feeling good about my situation.

My unemployment got cut off a month ago unexpectedly and because of a terribly ran government now I'm stuck wondering when the end will come. I need a lawyer because someone needs to answer for this.

Questions & Answers

It would be nice if someone actually answered the phone. Every extension goes to "sorry no one is available to answer your call" regardless of the day or time.

Telegov.egov.com should be able to make online appt. If the link don't work go to the website and about halfway down the page is view services should find it from there.

Are they open where you can go in.

They are closed, and no openning date is posted there....They don't answer the phones either.

I work for an Ability One Company and we are holding a job fair in Radcliff Ky on Thursday January 30 at 10am-3pm. We are wanting to get the news out there and I was wondering who I need to talk to about posting a flyer at your location.

It's recommended to apply online. But you can go to the office to get help with the process. They have some computers setup for people to get the process started.

Is the kentucky center able to help with unemployment?
