I visited this place back in May 2022. I traveled from Los Angeles to visit New Orleans and its rich history. I will never forget this place because it seems I captured an apparition in one of my photos sitting on a chair and a face on the left side. Zoom into red chair area on left hand side

Closed! Front desk didn't seem to care at all when I went in to ask and reminded them that they're open according to Google :( *** Edit *** Thank you for your response. People are planning online all the time so please update opening times. And a sorry from the person at the front desk may have been more appropriate.

Amazing history, beautiful museum. Very cheap too at $5/adult and it’s a small museum so it’s a great find.

A/C was welcome. They’ve done a great job preserving this place. No other patrons on our visit on a Friday afternoon.

I don't think so. The building is old and authentic, with steep stairs and tight hallways. But the gift shop down below should be. I would still check it out, just the whole experience may not be available.

1850 House is not a plantation; it's right on Jackson Square not far from Cafe Dumond.
