Stopped here to let our toddler run around and have a quick lunch. Had some nice picnic tables and pretty cool watching people through hike the AT.

Great winter views of Wayan Bald. Appalachian Trail to Siler Bald or Wayan Bald runs adjacent to picnic area.

Yes, but the drive entrance is not.
