Annoying

Absolutely terrible. Applied for snap, worker went over the full 30 days without even looking at our case. My wife tried to call the office several times to see what was wrong what could be done. They told her put worker had to make a decision on our case that day and whatever we were getting would be on our card the next day. Next day came and nothing on there still, she still hasn't made a decision on our case. So I call back the next day, (the day before Thanksgiving it is now) now multiple days over the 30 day "deadline" and the lady on the phone at reception was extremely rude to me, told me me and my wife were lying about what we had been told the day before and then hung up on me. No repercussions for missing our deadline by so many days, no letting me speak to a worker or supervisor or anything. Very poor service with no ramifications for their actions.

Very courteous and respectful. Prompt in taking my phone calls. Provided clear, consice information and answered all questions, patiently & professionally. I appreciated the dignity and respect shown me. During this difficult time in my life.

I agree
They don't notarize, sorry
You go to DSS and you walk in and to the right is SNAP or they can tell you where to go at the front desk... And then there are scanners at the computers that are all through out the room, you find a computer that says either SNAP, medicaid, or temporary assistance- whichever the reason you need to scan in your ID and you put your ID in the scanner after typing in your first and last name and phone number into the computer, then click scan or document or something like that I can't remember which and then file and a receipt will print stating you filed it. And then that's it, it's submitted. Also you can download the app it's nydocsubmit or something like that you can call and ask and do it that way.
