Clear Creek Trail

The Clear Creek Trail is a nice trail to hike or mountain bike to the view point which overlooks Clear Creek and the Carson Valley. From the upper start of the trail at Spooner Summit it is roughly ~2.5 miles to the viewpoint from the parking lot. The trail is relatively flat for the upper portion and then begins to descend more at the viewpoint with great elevation change. Peaceful and easy upper trail with great views, and more exposed trail at lower elevations.

Just off Jacks Valley Rd, it's real convenient, but convenient for thieves as well! Too many car break ins here, I'd not park here at all. You're better off parking at the school in the parking lot by the recycling site just down the hill and riding your bike up here to start.

Great single track trail that starts in the Carson Valley and heads up to Spooner Summit to connect with the TRT. Trail surface is mostly smooth with a few mildly rocky areas, the lower 2 miles can be a little sandy during the dry season. …

This is an incredible trail in the Carson Valley. I enjoy doing an entire loop on the trail over to Hwy 50. Hiking includes Easy slope on most of the trail and features more tree coverage than expected once past the first mile or so.
