Carolina movie theater in downtown Hickory has been around forever. It started just being a dollar to get in and watch a movie. Now it only costs 3 dollars. It is a great movie theater and there are movies on all the time. Sometimes you may have to wait a couple weeks for newer movies but it is well worth. Me and my husband use to go to the new theater and spend 40 dollars on snacks and movie. At the Carolina we spend less than 20. Great place to watch movies. Possibly the site that your viewing the movies is not correct. They only have 2 screens but are constantly showing movies.

They do not refill those buckets. Concessions are somewhat cheaper than AMCs and personally I like the popcorn better at the Carolina.
