Hi! Second Harvest does not distribute food directly to the public (except on rare occasion such as when they have large amounts of food such as milk currently). When we do have give-a-ways no ID is required, but one does have to sign a form declaring that they qualify (see website for details). Otherwise, the food bank works to distribute food through a network of over 460 partners across 18 counties. To find the location nearest you visit hingernwnc.org and click on "partners."
Yes they do
You can ask someone to get food for you

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina will host a food distribution on Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 8:45 am until 1:00 pm, or until all food has been distributed. The address for the food distribution site is 285 Business Park Drive in the Union Cross Business Park in Winston-Salem. No documentation is needed, but you will be asked to provide some basic information to determine USDA eligibility for some of the food items being offered. If someone will be picking food up on your behalf, you will need to know whether that person receives food stamps. If the answer is no, the pickup person will need to know the number in the person's household and the gross weekly or monthly household income as we will be distributing some TEFAP items (government-funded commodities) at this distribution. All COVID-19 safety rules and guidelines will be enforced. Social distancing will be enforced. No one will be allowed to get out of their vehicles. Our volunteers will load your .
It would be best to call them or check out their own website
