South Austin Counseling Services has great customer service and support to their clients. This review is for the unprofessional and unethical services I received from Travis Van Rum who is a counselor at South Austin Counseling Services. I'm providing this review after seeing 2 other equally licensed therapists. I would never get services from Travis. I found his assessment to be completely wrong and biased on his own world views. He takes sides during couples' therapy. He is incapable of maintaining a neutral stand to the point of getting visually and verbally defensive. He tends to tell you that you're handling your problem well while stating completely the opposite to your partner and others. I had lost complete faith on counseling services in general after my experience with Travis. Luckily, I was able to get counseling services from other professional and competent therapists who assisted me unbiased of gender and race.
