Really awesome forest service campground on top of Mount Ashland. It was a bit smokey, but the sunset further up the road was stunning!

Beautiful Boxing Day snowshoe trip up there mountain. Trail was groomed this morning, but by noon so many people were there it was not quite so smooth. A gorgeous place to spend the day.

It's free! It's quiet, remote, beautiful. It's primitive with lots of flies so be prepared for that.

Just a short drive from Ashland and you are in the middle of beautiful forests. If you continue down the gravel roads, it is a beautiful drive through southern Oregon back country. It blows my mind every time because of how close but far from civilization I am.
