Water entered our basement due to an outside hose, attached to a timer & sprinkler, broke. Serve pro’s response was very quick. Kim surveyed the situation, and started remediation right away. Moved furniture, ripped up drenched carpet and padding, removed and took away. Brought in blowers and sprayed for mold prevention. I was on vacation and returned a few days later, basement was completely dry. No musty, damp smell. They did an excellent job, I highly recommend the company!

Questions & Answers

Does my insurance cover water damage or water cleanup?

Your home may be covered by your insurance, depending on your specific policy. We can work with your insurance provider for a “stress free” claims process and confirm what is and is not covered by your current policy.

Can I turn off the equipment at night?

SERVPRO of Media and SERVPRO of Central Delaware County | Mar 27, 2022

No, it is important the equipment is running around the clock. The more hours per day the equipment runs – the less days the equipment will be in your property. The equipment is strategically placed to encourage optimal drying. Turning off the equipment will only increase our dry time, and the threat of microbial growth and secondary damage.

How long does it take to dry my home or business?

SERVPRO of Media and SERVPRO of Central Delaware County | Mar 27, 2022

The only answer is: It depends on the size and scope of the loss. Completely drying a structure depends on the type of water damage, how long the water dwelled, and the type of building materials involved. Many times, water damage to your home or business takes 2 to 3 days to dry. However, properties exposed to water damage for a long time will take longer to dry, so it is best to start as soon as possible!
