Can still climb the fire tower here. Views of the area are amazing.

Stop in at the DNR office for the fire tower key. Then cross the street, walk up the winding stair trail to the tower. The tower is safe, but wobbly with the wind. Climb up into the sky and sit in the top room to see everywhere. You'll be above the treetops with views as far as the eye can see. When you leave you may find an 'Honorable Order of the Squirrel" certificate on your vehicle for your efforts.
