I have been hospitalized since Friday and they have done absolutely nothing for me. They are not controlling my pain, and refused my request for a GI consult although I have told them my GI doctor works for the hospital! All they gave me for pain was Tylenol and bentyl which I take at home and that is why I came to the hospital because they were not helping me. Then, they gave me torodol even though I told them MULTIPLE TIMES that I was allergic to it and I immediately had a allergic reaction, to which they had to immediately give me Benadryl. If I have to be hospitalized again for any GI issues, I will be going to AHN although my GI is UPMC. I did everything my GI doctor office said to do and I am no better off. Worst hospital experience I have ever had. I will never go back to ANY UPMC hospital ever again. They are only giving one star because their staff is awesome. Even the food is horrendous.

The security was on top of their job at the front doors. They did assist me with great directions so I could get to my job site to meet up with a trucking specialist to deliver medical refrigerators equipment for their new pharmacy department. The construction crew also assisted us, in most cases that doesn't happen all that often it was well appreciated, without their forklift it would have been a big nightmare getting these 400lbs plus refrigerators off these wooden pallets. We tide up their loading dock for few hours that day.

I have been calling for the last 2 weeks, trying to make a colonoscopy, appointment. Was told someone would return my call, that has yet to happen. When I do calm I get to a certain spot and the phone hangs up. To tell the absolute truth. DISSATIFIED at the present moment. May I please get some assistance

Absolutely horrible. Wouldn’t even take my dog here. I’ve been sitting in the emergency room waiting area since 2:30pm and still have yet to be seen, and it’s not 8pm. They just took us back at 8:30 and haven’t received any thing for pain for all these hours we’ve been here. We told them we were leaving and REFUSED to remove my boyfriends IV, so I have to do it.

Too much most. Ask your Doctor for a parking voucher to save a few dollars. Some offices even have free tickets. Street parking has a Android app to download where you can renew your time. But vouchers don't help for street parking

UPMC Shadyside Hospital is a great hospital, and treat a wide range diseases. They have an amazing doctors there. They also have a Hillman Cancer Center across the street from the hospital.
There are volunteers at entrances who can help as they ask COVID related questions. Info desks will also orient you. Navigation from there is labeled and color-coded.

Yes, many, too numerous to list here. I believe hyatt and mariott are within a block from the main entrance.
It would probably be faster if you'd contact the hospital directly.
Depends if it’s 3 Main, 3 West, 3 PAV or 3 East. If it’s 3 Main it’s the cardiac/respitory floor. 3 West was the cardiac ICU but it’s been closed for awhile. I think 3 east is gastrointestinal and I’m unsure about the speciality is for 3 Pav.
