So I went online and filled out the form. Still waiting on a call back. It’s been two days. So I decided to call. The phone just rang and rang. Then finally someone picked up. They didn’t say anything but they were chewing food so I hung up. Double checked the number and yes I dialed the correct number. Sent a message on Instagram and still NO response. I just called and the receptionist literally said to me I don’t understand what you are asking. A receptionist that doesn’t understand a simple question. I wonder how the rest of the team members are? Yikes. I would literally be afraid to spend a dime with these people. How can they handle your website if they can’t even handle a simple callback request or a phone call or even respond to an Instagram message??? Not sure how reputable Charlotte SEO is. First impressions are of the utmost importance. I’ll look for another SEO company to help me.

We have seen very good results even in bad times like the pandemic we’ve been going through. We worked with them well before this pandemic happened, but sent over our plans on navigating uncertain times. We had a blowout month with our client Larry Puckett Chevrolet in what was predicted to be a terrible month. We should also mention that aside from just these months that have been volatile, we’ve had very good communication and consistency long term. Quick to respond, they listen to your needs and what direction you’re looking to take...and most importantly they execute.

We have been working with Jeff and the crew at Charlotte SEO for about 16 months. SEO is a long term play and there were moments that I was frustrated - as a small business owner this is a large investment BUT please don't miss the word INVESTMENT. When we finally started hitting our goals and getting onto page 1 of google it more than paid for its self. Prior to working with Charlotte SEO we used 2 other companies that wasted thousands of dollars with no return. If you're on the fence I would encourage you to trust them and trust the process. It works.

What's the biggest SEO mistake when redesigning a website?

Charlotte SEO | Sep 24, 2019
Charlotte SEO | Sep 24, 2019

The biggest SEO mistake when a company redesigns their website is creating new pages or shifting around the structure of the pages and NOT creating a redirect to the new page from the old one. For example, if the Services page used to be /services but is changed to /services-page, then all the links from the original page that doesn't exist anymore hit a 404 page. You need to create a 301 redirect from the old page to the new page to make sure that you don't lose any "link juice" from links that are pointing to your site helping with your SEO.

Redirects can be good and bad. Redirects can affect the load time of a site (how fast the visitor gets to the page). It can also affect the "link juice" that is passed to a site if it is redirected too many times. They can also be good. If you redirect a link that already has trust and authority to a page you are trying to rank, it will pass trust and authority to that page and it should help your rankings unless there is something going on that requires a deeper analysis.
