Usually if there is a true race day they open the gates at ten on Sat, but it's mostly qualifying until like four when eliminations begin like this previous Sat. During the nitrous nationals which was totally awesome!! Real race cars all day except for 5 or six truck/street car fun rides during the day

It depends on the event. I believe most of the time little kids are free. It's seemed family friendly when I took my 4 year old to see the Southeastern Gasser's. He loved it. Take hearing protection (ear muffs) for the little ones.
