Pros: The tech was fantastic and would alone rate a 5-star review. Helpful, quick and efficient, but also thorough and amiable. Cons: However, the staff overall and the doctor present acted unprofessionally throughout my entire 1hr 45mins in the office. While HIPAA does allow for speaking about patients in certain areas of the office without excessive PHI, etc., there is an ethical aspect to providing healthcare services that goes beyond the legal. The doctor and staff were openly complaining about a child who appeared to have some form of disability (perhaps in need of assistive technology for speech) as the child was making a great deal of noise for an extended period of time (loud screeches at times, could be heard through multiple walls across the office). I can respect that is a difficult position to be in when there are many other patients to see, and who may themselves be sensitive to noise. However, this does not excuse the overall inappropriateness of the affect and disclosure by staff in the hallways where patients in their eye exam rooms or in the waiting area can clearly hear them. Additionally, there were no objects visible within the office that could assist with an individual with accessibility needs such as fidgets (silicone pop-its that could be sanitized after use, for instance). This may be due to COVID regulations which is completely understandable, but should be considered at this point (maybe keep at the receptionist desk and offer to guardians when their minor is visibly or audibly in need). Another intervention the office could consider is creating a simple laminated social story to assist individuals with accessibility needs to help normalize some of the procedures that occur with a typical eye exam. This can help individuals prepare for what can be an overstimulating experience to anyone, neurotypical or not. This would take little time to create overall and few resources, but could be a helpful preventative for similar situations in the future as individuals with speech needs deserve quality care and professional consideration just as much as any other patient. The older gentleman doctor (I believe it was Dr. Corin, however he introduced himself so rapidly it was difficult to catch his name) was particularly egregiously short with patients and his staff and was overall unhelpful due to visibly being overwhelmed by the situation. Taking 5 minutes as staff to go into a quieter area away from other patients and discuss an action plan to handle the situation would have been the most effective and appropriate avenue. I was more disturbed by the staff and doctor's lack of professionalism than the hour of off and on shrill screams of a child. The child was overwhelmed and that is the responsibility of adults to cope with their own baggage to assist appropriately.

Doctor and staff were extremely rude. They lack patience and empathy and sugar coat it with arrogant sarcasm. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE. The doctor and techs don't seem to work together in a friendly manner either, its like they all hate eachother. My 5 yr old son was treated like an inmate. We were rushed and made to feel like an inconvenience. His glasses they said he "needed", do not fit his face well and keep falling off. They didn't care at all, said they fit fine! The worst of it all is that he complains now that he cant see with them, and sees multiples of things!! Are these people even qualified?! Or is this some insurance scam to keep people coming in the door?! TAKE THIS REVIEW AS YOU WISH, BUT WE WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO TOO!

My husband went there and had to drive himself. After telling the girl he was driving she dilated his pupils anyway. He said the people were rude and he waited forever to go in. He sat for an hour or more while the employees had fun chatting and joking with each other. Never going there again. Doctor was nice but staff is extremely unprofessional.
