We only got to visit for the Horse Show. Our granddaughter competed and did quite well. It was a chilly, windy day but still beautiful. Our local paper covered the Youth Fair and posted great stories and pictures.

I would check with your advisor. I found the calf dates for 2019 in the big .pdf for registration for 2019 if you search online, but didn't see a sheet for 2020.

I don't think that they accept free pigs.

Do I need to be in an agriculture class and ffa to be in the steer show or can I just be in ffa?

I have to be in a age class there. The steer show goes by the age of the youth.
