This place is horrible. They double charged us and then said we never paid and kicked us out of the room. Expedia needs to take this place off of their site ASAP. DO NOT STAY HERE. They are scammers. They charged money to a card on a reservation we cancelled after charging us an unauthorized $100 “refundable” deposit (it was never refunded). We currently have a police report against them and reports with our banks. Ruined what was supposed to be a fun relaxing trip.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Worst place I’ve ever been! Super sketchy place. Everyone there seems like they’re on drugs. Booked/paid for 4 days and ended up staying 1 trying to say we never paid and charged us again. Asked Expedia for a refund on the 2nd charge & got that but then the staff here acted like we still didn’t pay and owed them full amount (i have both bank statements) and kicked us out at 12am. Had to call the sheriffs department because they threatened us that if we didn’t leave now they would use force to take us out and had a pitbull with him. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Super sketchy. Please read other reviews if you don’t believe my experience.

This place was a great discovery that I found in a Historic area of San Clemente. Everything is literally in several minutes walking distance to the beach, restaurants, historic sites. Room was great with a kitchen in it. I felt home there. Josh was amazing manager who accommodated me during the stay. It is a great place to feel the authenticity of that area, very simple and cozy. And may save you a $ considering that all hotels there are super expensive. Highly recommended.

I didnt even get a chance to check in. Apparently their system went down the day before and claimed they over booked, but i booked weeks in advance. I had to find another place to stay. They put minimal effort in correcting their error. I booked through snap travel and will be working on getting my money back. It looks like a cozy hotel but it seems like its poorly managed. I dont recommend Oceana Boutique Hotel.
