I went there to fill out an application for student loan forgiveness. The doctor that saw me lacked the competency to fill the document so took the liberty to share the document and my name with a non healthcare agency. Caught me by surprise when the MCB contacted me. I need to find out if HIPAA laws were violated. I will ask my primary physician. However, the lady that took care of me at the beginning was fantastic. ( the technician or the assistant that scans your eyes.)

"It was one of the most amazing experiences ever," is how I describe my recent cataract surgery at Eyesight and Surgery Associates. Everyone treated me as if I were an old friend or family member! The medical staff was exceptional in every way: the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and especially, Dr. Jusko. From the beginning of surgery prep, during surgery, and all the way through today (3 weeks later), I experienced no pain or discomfort. As I describe my procedure to everyone, "It's a miracle how Dr. Jusko performed the surgery in such a stress-free and painless manner." And, most importantly, my eyesight is now excellent! A contact lens prescription is valid for one year. All patients are required to be seen for an annual contact lens exam. This is necessary to assure your eyes are still healthy and the contact lenses are still fitting well. Contact lens prescriptions cannot be renewed without this exam.
If you are a new patient, it ranges from $110 to $200, depending on the type of lenses fit. If you have never worn lenses before, there is a $70 fee for the instruction appointment. If you are an existing patient, it is $65 for annual refit.
Visual field tests are usually done yearly, sometimes every 6 months. This test is done to check for peripheral vision loss.
A driver is recommended if you are going to be dilated, as your vision may be blurred from dilation. You should be prepared for dilation at each visit, even if you were dilated at a previous visit.
You should expect to be at your appointment for 1-2+ hours depending on the type of exam and planned testing. Some appointments may take less time but we want you to be prepared.
Dr. Jusko is the one I've been seeing for at least 10 years. I have macular degeneration and he's done laser surgery on me twice. He also took out my cataracts. Love him!

Depending on how many patients are being seen, and how quickly you can complete the paperwork and examination procedures, it takes a new patient about 90 minutes from start to finish. This time period is on target with my experience today.
