Unbelievable impression on the submarine

Totally worth the trip. The museum was nice and informative but the submarine was amazing and fun. Our whole family had a blast seeing the inside of a real sub.
kawtartagh show&share
Very nice place to visit with the kids. Unfortunately the submarine was closed to the public. Will re-open on September 9th.

My uncle was stationed back in the day on that boat

It's free to get in but I usually leave a couple bucks tip as a way showing appreciation to the nice decorations and friendly staffs.
Just the part that is seen through plexiglass when you first go below. You *won't* be disappointed - lots of great changes since 91.
Unfortunately they do not.
I read that...didnt know if there was a date set
Hi William, I asked our archivist your question regarding the Chapel on the Thames: The Submarine Base chapel in 1945 was located exactly where it is located today – along Shark Blvd, between Trigger Ave and Grenadier Ave, in between Dealey Center and the Bowling Alley. The chapel on the Base – known as Chapel on the Thames – was built and dedicated in 1944. It has been in use continuously since then. Nothing happened to it in 1946 (other than a memorial plaque with the names of lost submarines being added). It is still in use today. There has been no new chapel built on the Base. In 1965 a 2nd chapel – Shepard by the Sea – was built off-Base in Navy housing. Chapel on the Thames continued in use even after the building of the off-Base chapel, Shepard by the Sea. The Navy discontinued use of Shepard by the Sea and put it up for auction in 2017. The Base chapel, Chapel on the Thames (1944), still continues to be used. The Submarine Force Museum is closed on Tuesday.
CAPT EDDY was the first Commanding Officer of PARGO and received the Navy Cross, which is the second highest award for bravery in the Navy. As noted in a Welcome Aboard brochure for the PARGO SSN there were two horseshoes used in the WWII Pargo. We have one on display at the museum and I do not know the location of the second horseshoe.
A large measure of precaution has been taken to prevent the spread of the virus. The museum, is however open to the public, but all the visitors need to be following the guidelines of the newly instituted rules and policies.

The NR-1 was a unique "one-off" nuclear-powered deep submersible that was used for research and recovery for several decades. After scrapping at the completion of its life cycle the sail was given to the museum in Groton.
NO!!! Definitely not.
Summer hours - 9am - 5pm (May 1 - Oct 31) Winter hours - 9am - 4pm (Nov 1 - Apr 30) Closed first week of April, first week of November, all Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
I believe that they are. Only day I far sure is Christmas Day.
I didn't happen to see any pets there. Definitely not in the submarine tour or buildings but there's a big property where im sure you can walk the dog outside.
