We are boaters so we're always looking for fun places to go by boat. So when we heard it was only accessible by boat, we pulled up anchor and cruised to Rum Bay. If you go, make sure you look for channel marker 9A, if coming from the north, don't take a hance and try to cut west earlier, it looked pretty shallow. Plenty of dockage once you arrive. Then just follow the boardwalk. So.... I had to have a Rum drink, not sure what it was called but it was a house special, and it was very good.

Not really what we expected - small place without much of a view.

We've dined here since 1985, it's the only restaurant on this chain of barrier islands. Always tasty, plenty of rum drinks.

Yes, but space is limited. You may need to dock at the secondary pier. It is a considerable walk from there. Consider dropping guests at the water taxi spot,
Yes even big dogs are alowwed outside if well behaved
Yes and no. You can drive your car over on the ferry but you have to park your car before you get there.
Coming from the land side it may be. Definitely not from the boat. Of course you could call them to get the real info...
You park in the parking lot for "Leverock's" restaurant and walk along the dock and you will see sign for water taxi. Need to make taxi appointment with Rum Bay. Cost is $6 pp for round trip.
Not sure. Definitely call
They usually have a big holiday buffet.
$6 per person
I understand that Florida does not allow it any more except for service dogs.
You can reserve seats for the taxi.
Red Beard named it!
