They charge $11.50 for you to get proof of Prior ownership Then you would do a tr-1 form with your daughter as the new registrant You would do an exempt from sales tax form kind of like a green postcard because it's not taxable cuz it's a gift And you would write a gift letter with you giving the vehicle to your daughter which I believe should be notarized If you and your daughter go together the documents do not need to be notarized All those forms are available at the DMV in Middletown
