The doctor is in high demand. He was a little late to the appointment but walked me through all my neck issues. I knew I had cervical stenosis, but wanted his opinion on recommended next steps. I'll get one more high resolution Spiral CT Scan and hopefully he'll have the full diagnosis of procedures he intend to do. Though in quite severe pain, I am hopeful and can't await the 2nd consultation. Late again. But he was spending time reviewing my new images... bottom line. Dr. Canter is the doctor to go with..... he explained every thing I needed to get done. 1 level fusion at c4 c5... then open up all the facets c3 to c7 then open up the spinal cavity with some bone grafting... I was hoping to not have a fusion. But after 5 doctors that wanted to go old school on my neck and do either a 5 level fusion from front or 5 level from the back with about 50 screws and bolts... no that's not for me... one doctor also wanted to just do a 1 level at c6 c7... but that would certainly lead to 4 or 5 more such surgeries I look forward to see my finger stop shaking... looking at 3 months recovery... its been 20 years with this and time to get it fixed right... excited about Dr cantor new tool and technique...

I am known as Judith Nemet now. Dr. Cantor is the most knowledgeable, and compassionate orthopedic surgeon I have ever met. He took his time with me and my husband explaining my condition and the plan of care he has for me. He didn’t rush us in anyway. He made sure we understood everything. Now what I also love about my surgeon, it seems like he made sure he is surrounding by compassionate and nice medical assistants. The Holy Cross hospital where Dr. Cantor does his surgeries is wonderful. The nurses were on point and so nice with me. I am so glad I found Dr. Cantor.

I have been treated by Dr. Guiffrida at Cantor Spine Center to do everything possible non-invasively to treat my sciatic pain. Dr. Guiffrida referred me to Dr. Cantor for surgical treatment as non-invasive procedures only offered minimal improvement. I met with Dr. Cantor via a Zoom call. Dr. Cantor reviewed my images, listened to my problems and proposed a surgical solution. He pointed out and explained the problems in my vertebrates and discs that were causing the problems. I have full trust that my pain will be alleviated. All the members of Dr. Cantor’s staff that I have had contact with are kind, compassionate and have a strong desire to make me feel comfortable and confident with the process. I know I am in good hands. I have had contact with other doctor offices and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the Cantor Spine Center is to their patients.

My Medicare & AARP is a PPO and they do accept PPO plans, this one then?
Hi Deborah, I have United Healthcare, which Dr. Cantor accepted. I am not aware of other insurances that he accepts. But I think he is worth any extra hoops you have to jump through. He is wonderful. Good luck to you!
Well , Dr Cantor offers second opinions so it is very good to know he is not trying to get paid for an unnecessary visit, plus it speeds up your query!!! Neuro surgeons are usually referred by your primary or neurologist, if so it means you already had an MRI, all you have to do is request a disk and/or a written report of the MRI. There is no additional cost. This is why Dr Cantor requested and MRI go back or call place you had your done to get a copy. Have a great day!!! 🙏❤️☮️

My husband was treated at this practice with good results. They are kind, professional and ...for a physician's office, pretty good for being on time with his scheduled appt times. The waiting area allows for good social distancing. We are happy with this practice.
Hi Beth, ultrasonic spine surgery is the technique used. You can visit cantorspine.com to learn more.
