Whenever my girlfriend and I are celebrating a special occasion, we go to Principle. They never disappoint! We usually have a cocktail each and share 3-4 dishes, then dessert. Everything we've had is elevated in concept and presentation, and incredibly well balanced! Every time we've ordered the market fish, it seems like the best fish we've ever had! The cocktails don't miss - bold flavors diluted to perfection!

Fantastic option for dinner on the mall. Everybody's reviews are positive, so not much more to add except still more praise. Celine was our server and was wonderful. We had the Comfit Duck Wings, Lamb Ragu, Cheddar Bites and Chocolate Pudding. Faultless and portions sized just right too. All in all, a wonderful dining experience and a must-do recommendation for Kalamazoo!

The wife and I came here for a delicious dinner and we were no disappointed. Each mouth-watering dish was prepared with an incredible eye and skilled hand. The menu isn't extensive but what is lacked in quantity is made up for ten fold in quality. Don't just take my word for it. Come on over and try to prove me wrong! I give Principle a solid 4 ⭐️'s

If you're looking for elegance and Adventure this is the place to go. You need to understand they are always creating new things. And unfortunately when this happens it's not always perfect but it is different. I have a lot of respect for the people who run this place. They really do come up with some original ideas. I brought my kids here and they liked it. They are kid-friendly. But this type of atmosphere is really not suitable for kids. We got the confit duck wings oh, and the squid. We ended up with the chocolate pudding and the cheesecake. Most things on the menu will not come out as you expect and that is the surprise. You might find out something about yourself that you might not like surprises. if you are someone who likes surprises this place is perfect. The thing that is in Vogue now is smoked drinks. One of the cool things they did was bring a flash that was smoked and left the smoke flash for me. See photo
