Right next door to this facility is a storage facility. I just got to town in a 26ft uhaul with a car hauler attached. I missed my turn Into the storage facility and turned Into their parking lot to turn around. I got stuck and had to unhook the car hauler. I came back for it MAYBE 15 min later and while actively trying to re hook up the trailer and get it out of there, a man whom works there (had a leaf blower attached to him) walks up and tells me I can't park equipment there and he was about to have it towed. I politely explained what happened and he basically called me a liar and said there is no reason I couldn't have got myself unstuck and to hurry up and get out of there. Lol No heart! He was beyond rude for no reason and if these are the type of people that are taking care of the elderly that live there, I can see why they already have the low reviews they have.

My mom was in this place for three weeks before she was rushed to the hospital with UTI, malnourished and dehydration. The memory care unit has two staff members on a good day. They don’t have enough staff to feed the ones who cannot feed themselves. They are fast to take SS payments. They DO Not return calls. Don’t imagine that the administrator will assist you with any concerns because she blatantly doesn’t care.

My mother has lived at Gold Choice Deltona since December 2017. She is in memory care. I live out of state. The place is clean and the food looks good. The turnover is shocking. Good luck trying to get anyone to answer the phone. No one answers the phone after business hours. I was just told by the receptionist that there is no phone in the memory care office, even though there has been in the past. They take my name and number and usually no one calls back. I will adjust my rating (either up or down) when my mother no longer lives there.

This place is absolutely horrible!! They can’t keep any staff because they pay less than any of the other homes around. My poor mama almost didn’t make it while staying in this hole she broke various bones, had stitches etc.... and finally broke her neck ( feel out of her wheelchair they say). Don’t even think about it !
