It open the tiki drive-in and I also believe the Van Buren Drive-InRiverdale was nice not a lot of people any concession stand was not that expensive

Well I don't think you are going to get your money back. What you should have done is hand them the $3.00 for the shirt, when and if they said it was going to be $8.00 you should have told them never mind you don't want it at that price and if they hold your money just grab another shirt of the same and walk off. An honest seller would tell you exact prices and have no problem returning your money. At this point chalk it up to a lesson learned.
