I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews but my donation was smooth, fun and quick. Tanyel deserves 10 stars. Please donate blood and save lives!

I've donated here probably a dozen times and I've always had positive interactions with the staff. Charlton is super friendly!

True professional around here. I had a wonderful donation experience here.

I scheduled a donation for early afternoon on the 4th of July, since I work an 80 hour week and can't come in most days. Reason for my visit was that my doctor told me to donate red blood cells after seeing my bloodwork. Staff lied to me and told me that I was not qualified to give blood that day because my pulse was 102, even though I told them I had walked a few blocks prior to my appointment to make it in time and told them I wasn't donating for another person but because my doctor told me to. They took my pulse by hand, which is inaccurate--especially since my pulse would have been even further down within a minute or two. I pointed this out, but they wouldn't listen-- Only gave me a form that explained that I tried to give blood. The form said I could still donate if it's not for another person. I pointed this out and was dismissed. I could tell they just wanted to leave early for the holiday and would say anything to get me out. Dishonest, and not respectful of your time or needs. If you don't want to work holidays, then don't let people schedule for holidays.

In principle that should be fine, but you will probably need to set an appointment using the Red Cross app or website. They've been pretty backed up lately because of social distancing protocols.
This is a blood donation center for the Red Cross. They are retrieving blood and platelets for donors. There is no money involved.
No.
Yes.. call American Red Cross and make an appointment and they will guide you through the process
When you get to the location you have to go through a gate on the the right hand side to get to the facility parking. That gate keep guard will direct to that small parking lot. I think it will be better to try that out before you go to street parking.
I haven't received an immediate monetary at the time but they do have gift card and/or merch rewards as later "payment".
The blood would most likely be contaminated by that point. Once you die, your cells (all cells, not just blood cells) start breaking down almost immediately and releasing their contents. This isn't an issue when you're alive and donating blood as you are maintaining your cells. The blood cells are stored in a way to maximize their shelf life. Could it be done in the future with better technology? Who knows. But right now you'd have to take the blood from the person whilst they're still alive which wouldn't work for obvious reasons.
Yes. If you donate in the evening, you just have to press the call button and they'll open the gate for you. Enter on the west side and drive around to the donor entrance on the east side.
Red cross is donation based and does not pay for any collections, employment information may be available on their website
