I have been here for awork assignment. I find the facility grounds beautiful. The building itself is currently under a major renovation and will be gorgeous inside as well. The staff are all very caring .The residents who live there all seem very happy and have many activities and outings to enrich their daily lives. I would love to reside here when I retire!!

Thank you for your question. Community Fees that are paid upon entry are very common among senior living communities. Essentially, there are similar to a "one-time" association fee in that they are designed to cover all of the common areas and other amenities that are shared by all residents within the community. This includes the indoor lobby, lounges, libraries, activity rooms, fitness centers, chapel, etc., including both upkeep and utilities for each. Additionally includes upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor grounds, gardens, patio's, and walkways. In this regard, The Virginian's $10,000 community fee is actually among the lowest in the area for a 200+ resident full continuum community (offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing Care). Similar communities can have fees ranging from $200,000 to more than $1 million! We are proud to have been able to keep our fees low and reasonable for many years.
