We, a retired couple and Golden Retriever, stayed here in our 36-foot Class A motorhome. We had no problems with any of the utilities at our site and the WiFi was good enough to stream at lower resolutions most of the time. We read prior reviews and approached the entrance with great care only to have absolutely no problem with it. It is true that Waterhouse Road comes in from an angle right where you need to turn into the campground and if a vehicle was approaching from that direction it would be difficult to see it because of the angle. I looked at the intersection on Google Maps with the satellite view and even “drove” the approach using Street View. We slowed down well before the actual entrance with our turn signal on and other faster vehicles went around us and did not cause us any grief. The campground is close to the Bourne Bridge and traffic does tend to stack up there during peak morning and late afternoon hours. I will warn you that the Bourne Bridge and its companion the Sagamore Bridge were built in the 1930s and are two 10 foot wide lanes each way without a center divider and with a 1 foot tall raised footpath with vertical face. We are all used to 12 feet wide highways, usually divided from oncoming traffic, so the bridge does seem quite narrow for a 8.5 foot wide RV. The first time across the bridge I did some minor damage to a passenger side basement door when it came in contact with the raised footpath face. This time I chose the left lane and took a generous view of how wide my lane was and no body wanted to try and pass me on the bridge. We stayed in site 48 and it was very wide and easy to back into. There was a gravel base with some sand and soil. Some prior reviews mentioned mud when it rained, but it didn’t rain more than a sprinkle while we were there. Since there is no grass to kill you can roll out your outdoor carpet to minimize mud at the doorstep. At first glance it appeared the park had a lot of rules, but on further study they seemed common sensical and the sort of things you would expect a park that has been in operation for 55 years and had to deal with their normal share of difficult customers and occasionally their lawyers. I did not observe an overly officious attitude from any of the staff and instead they seemed friendly and helpful. The campground has a nice dog park with bags and containers to dispose of the used bags. The dog park also has a plumbed water bowl, but my dog wasn’t interested in it. Dog owners seemed to properly keep their dogs on leash and under control. I did see a couple of pit bull mixed dogs, but had no problems with any of them. The only issue I had with Bay View Campground was difficulty in receiving Amazon packages there. Amazon sent one of the packages via their own delivery service and the driver was frustrated I didn’t provide the site number, but I didn’t get that in my reservation confirmation email and didn’t have that information until check-in. I guess I could have updated the delivery instructions with the information after check-in. The bigger frustration was that the US Postal Service won’t deliver to the office or a site. They hold all mail for campers at the post office located at 49 Sandwich Rd, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532. Its not far, but everywhere else I’ve been they deliver all this to the campground office without a problem. This appears to be an issue with the US Postal Service, not Bay View Campground. Bay View Campground is well located for exploring the Upper/Mid Cape, but it is a long drive from Chatham and even longer to Provincetown. We spent a week at Bay View Campground and then moved down to Brewster to explore that end of Cape. We did a day trip up to Provincetown. Bay View Campground is expensive and you need to make reservations far in advance. That’s pretty much true all over the Cape. We would definitely stay there again.

A great campground! We spent three nights here, and the rest of the family is staying another night. 20 plus years ago, we would come here for the first trip of the year and would compare all other campgrounds to Bay View. This park is still clean, family friendly, and the staff are all great people. You can tell that the staff takes pride in this campground and they do a great job!

Yes, they do allow dogs... There is also a dog park located in the campground...
Not yet hopefully soon
No camper rentals, but they do have 2 pods(mini cabins), that can be rented... Yes, they have cable, water and electric hook-ups... Some sites have sewage connections as well...
Hi John, motorcycles are not allowed into the campground. There is a covered parking area at the front of the park where you can park motorcycles. Please call the office if you have any other questions. 508-759-7610.
Hi Angela, yes you may bring your own golf cart. There is a $10/day charge and you need to provide proof of insurance.
Hi Pam, Check-in is 2pm-9pm.
Hi Vicki and Paul, you absolutely may add a deck on your site! The deck must be built in 4’x8’ sections and the whole deck cannot exceed the square footage of your camper (not including slide outs). Before building we ask you to give the office a deck plan that maintenance can approve. This plan doesn’t have to be fancy (we’ve received them on napkins drawn in pencil) but enough for us to see the dimensions and location. Please feel free to call our office if you have any other questions!
Hi there, it depends on your equipment type but the rates ranges from $63 to 72. A complete chart of our rates can be found at our website at https://www.bayviewcampground.com/rates/
Probably monument beach, within 5 miles maybe less
The pools are open through Labor Day and then open on a weekend to weekend basis dependent on weather.
