Very professional and friendly people working at Maryland Exotics! Super knowledgable and gave me everything I need to be well informed about my pet, a bearded dragon his name is Artious. From basic information, I am a new beardie owner, to common illnesses that can appear and to be aware of. Expertly examined my little lad and answered any and all my questions! Love the staff working there, and highly recommend them for anyone with an exotic pet!

The visit was very pleasant and informative. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We left the wellness appointment very informed on how to maintain the health of our pet.

It took a while to get in for a first appointment. Staff was kind when I was there. I thought it was very nice to have a heating pad for my bearded dragon to stay warm. I appreciate the time the Dr took to speak with me and even follow up with me by email. However, I feel like a lot of information taught to me by the vet was not good advice. I left feeling unsatisfied, as my countless hours of research was not what I heard from the Dr. I was told to give pellets, daily bath, a lot of misting, crickets crickets crickets…. These are not good recommendations for a bearded dragon. I did end up seeing another vet at another practice, whose opinions on dragon care were different- and which I agreed with. I think this could easily be fixed at this vet with new care sheets with updated dragon information.

This is the first time I saw an avian veterinarian. I am impressed by Dr. carol that she is very patient and giving me informative information how to look after my canary and walk me through the process. I also find the printed information are quite helpful. I also encountered with two other staff members whom are also very friendly. Thank you!

Just a heads up. The smaller the animal the more expensive the procedure
About $84
Thank you for your question. Please call our office at 240-687-1414 so that we can help you.
They don't treat dogs at MD Avian and Exotics. They specialize in exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, and reptiles.
I thought prices were fair. They work with care credit for payments so you have to apply for that.
Yes they do. One lady came in with her cat. So, obviously they should be able to do ferrets
It is illegal to treat raccoons in the state of Maryland
We care for all types of rabbits. Please call us to set up an appointment. Thank you for asking.
Pretty sure, I would give them a call to double check.
Hi Angela, We would need to see your pet for an exam before we perform any grooming services. One of our doctors can answer any other questions you may have about your chicken at that time as well. If you would like to set up an appointment please give us a call at your earliest convenience.
I think it was 75 to $100 for my visit. That was for a chameleon to get checked out so your mileage my vary.. Give them a call and see how much it is for your pet. This place is top notch for exotics. They were able to schedule me an appointment very quickly and very friendly staff vets etc.

I believe it is dependent on your pet. If it helps, my most recent follow-up/check-up for my adult bearded dragon was $65.00.
Please call the hospital so we can discuss this with you.
Not sure on that. You may want to call first. You could also call Second Chance Wildlife Center at 301-926-WILD for advice.
