ROACHES are extremely awful here! Here’s why. Once pest control comes in to spray the unit, within five days they are back. Next you are informed that the infestation problem has a process. We are given instructions to clear the cabinets and cover things, when the exterminator arrives, he can’t do it because “management says we aren’t going to do it because too many units need it.” The questions is why aren’t they paying for the treatment when their newsletter reminds us that “if we can not pay rent, then we have to move out” so they’re guaranteed their money …. No help with this matter because the more money saved goes into management’s pocket as a bonus at some point in time. Special precautions are necessary to stay safe and well living here. Dishes and toothbrushes need to refrigerated, silverware has to be stored in a box covered with a towel, cabinets and drawers are unusable. Now I’m told I don’t need treatment but I can move anytime without a lease violation. Therefore they should find me a place and pay all my expense to move for traumatized me. Gutters is the other source outside of improper pest control…. Management and new owners thinks it’s a good idea to keep all the money and not care for the property. ————————————————————————- NEWS ALERT! Public safety problems continue at Harbor Cove…..including unresolved issues with ROACHES! Let’s discuss why there is a problem here although they have hired pest control. Again, although a relatively new team, MANAGEMENT is still the issue. The process is you put in a request for pest control. On the scheduled day you watch the exterminator enter and exit the development in a short period of time, skipping over your unit. After observing the pattern, I speak to two different technicians on two different occasions an there’s a “rule” where there are a very small number of units that can be treated per visit; although an extremely pervasive problem. The dilemma is, if you are not included in that small number, your not informed by the office of that fact, therefore you’re left under the impression that your unit has been treated when in actuality is was not. The only way to ensure your unit is treated is to call into work, so you can be home to express your concerns to the technician. ————————————————————————- SLUMS!! DON’T MOVE HERE IF YOU DON’T LIKE WATER and MOLD!!! Very poor management and maintenance on site which makes this a terrible place to live. Within 45 days of signing the lease, my unit had 3 major issues with water. Nothing was done to provide a resolution but patchwork and a facade of doing the right thing. Management also threatens the reputation of contractors they hire by telling the tenant the problem was checked but in actuality it wasn’t. I was told there were no report of water found in the unit by company they hired to ensure neglect. It’s very unfortunate nicely renovated apartments are being destroyed due to incompetence and bad decision making. Pics show: -Water damaged cabinet covered with corking prior to renting. -4 weeks later all water damaged material left in unit and water pooling. -All this water pooling , materials breaking down, water under vinyl turning into syrup and mold growing up the wall. You almost vomit however there are “no such report”, of water in the unit is what I told. -Company hired sprays kilz on mold instead of removing sheetrock. -Everything done is always slack. After putting all this time and money in the unit they still leave damaged material from the flood in the unit yet you go through all the remediation process and you still have a problem with mold. -Water LOVERS. Same day new cabinet installed, there are two new leaks. Second time back installed new pipe so they have it down to one leak now. By the way if you don’t go behind them constantly checking after their work, you will held responsible for not reporting a leak. After 10 weeks, finally the cabinet has been removed. Pic shows want they wanted to leave in the unit. 5 months later wall is leaving residual from improper remediation.
