A great place to fly on a large elevated plateau and massive amounts of visibility and open air space and actually was the old toy town landfill back in the mid 60's , I know close to this area I lived in my adolescents way back in the day 😀 check it out !!

Great place to fly. People willing to help get you into the hobby, and into the air. Plane, helicopter and drone friendly, with nice facilities to come out and watch or fly. Paved runway, charging areas and a friendly atmosphere.

yup, that's a great place to learn. I'm a quad pilot so beside recomending a simulator I can't input anything valuable but I've been with SPARKS for over a year now and I had nothing but great time on the field. on the very first day I dropped my drone way out in the tall grass and three people went in there and helped me look for it ;) come by on saturday or sunday morning, ask as many question as you like - I'm sure the input will be more valuable than hours on the simulator. to fly there (even as a guest) you'll need AMA membership (which gives you insurance) and it's 60$ a year (IIRC) and SPARKS membership is 75, plus once-in-a-lifetime 50$ initiation fee. (which reminds me to mail a check before end of the year, thank you for asking that question!)
