Apopka Station, West Orange Trail

BEWARE: There are many homeless people near this Apopka trail. Went in the a.m. and there were two in the parking area and two along the trail by the dog park. Also people sleeping near the bridge ramps. The pictures look nice but don't be fooled... Do not go alone!

The downtown Apopka area around trail is nothing like the Winter Garden downtown area around trail. The Apopka main street is full of national fast food chains, Walgreens, CVS and has no character or quaintness at all and the residential areas seem to be lower income. There is a feeling of unsafeness late at night. There is a new Apopka City Center development proposed that includes a Starbucks and a brewery and food hall.

Even though this station is right downtown, ( not my favorite) it was an awesome ride from west Orange trail oakland
