Absolutely horrible. Never once saw a Dermatalogist. The PA did a biopsy on my nose. I was scared and asked what if they had to cut again, would there be scars. She just said,, “ well, maybe but we will deal with that later. “ I had something removed from my leg years ago and the dermatologist removed it all during the biopsy so I did not need to go back again. This was just my LEG. So I’m thinking it can’t be good to keep hacking away at my face. Turned out there was cancer so now I’m really panicking. I’m told that they will have to go in and dig it out. Then,,, if the mess up my face I need yet another surgery with a plastic surgeon. Keep in mind I had NEVER seen an actual Dermatogist. I said I didn’t like dealing with a PA. Their answer? Well you could have asked to see a doctor. I told them I shouldn’t HAVE TO ask for a doctor. I was there to SEE a dermatologist! Luckily, a friend told me to call Aliant dermatology AMAZING! I have the option of using radiation treatments so no cutting is nevessary. Wouldn’t it be nice if this place was up on the cutting edge techniques? We are talking about faces!!!! No compassion and no doctor to see unless you ASK FOR ONE???? I’m so glad I found a better situation.

I feel this was the best skin check I've received at Village dermatology as my feet and toes were inspected this time. In the past, I've had a rather large squamous cell carcinoma under my right great toenail that required Mohs surgery and removed a large part of that toe. Hence, my concern for including my feet and toes in the exam. Also, I've had melanoma surgery on my right inner thigh twice in the past and my former dermatologist always checked my lymph nodes as part of may checkup and ordered a yearly chest x-ray. When I asked if the PA was going to do these, I was told it wasn't generally done, but she would check my lymph nodes if I requested. Since she said they never do it,, I was t not confident she would know what to look for. Also, this time was told they don't order yearly chest x-rays, so I will ask my primary care provider to do this. It was a thorough check of the rest of my skin's surface but feel I had more thorough care at my former dermatologist in New Port Richey.
