The people that work there were so nice we tipped everyone they deserved it great experience definitely get there by 9 a.m. so you can see the animals at their best if you get there later a lot of people have already been through and you won't see nearly as much

The slip at Silver Springs State Park is for kayaks and canoes only. If you want to access the Silver River in a boat you'll have to go to the boat ramp at Ray Wayside Park. Park access is $5 (self pay at entrance station) and there's no launch fee.
Dogs can go in private kayaks. I saw several, and even saw a woman kayaking with her Iguana. Several people launched their private kayaks from the park, with their dogs.
Go to the main entrance all the way at the back where they do the rentals. They allow private kayakers to use the same docking area. Go early, gets crowded quick.
