For my entire undergrad at the University of Florida I went to St. Augustine’s Catholic Church & Student Center. St. A’s provides access to the sacraments daily and a holy place to be with the Lord. The people you met here are kind, generous, and passionate about the faith. There are social/intellectual/men’s & women’s events weekly, daily Bible studies, and retreats every semester. I will miss the home that St. A’s was for me but I will take all that I learned with me! If you are a Gainesville resident or a student at UF, don’t be a stranger to St. A’s!

This place is a gift to everyone who encounters it. St. Augustine’s is a parish with mostly college students, but there are also a decent amount of non student parishioners of all ages. I personally have participated in the student programming and see a deep faith in all those who serve. If you are looking for a home, come to Mass, any of our events or stop by our student center. If you are a devout Catholic ready to dive in to all we do, we welcome you. If you are questioning yourself or your faith, we welcome you. If you don’t really know much at all about religion but want to find college students who can be loving and supportive friends, we welcome you. I encourage you to come and see what this community has to offer and what Christ has in store for you. I assure you, the longer you wait the more you will regret it because God is so good. Come and see the goodness of His servants who look to Him.

Beautiful church and wonderful parishioners. Catholic Gators has been my second home at UF; all of the staff and my peers have helped me deepen my faith. Father David leads his flock so devoutly!

St A’s provides access to the sacraments 7 days a week, including confession, adoration, and daily Mass twice a day. The staff, clergy, and student ambassadors put everything they have into following the will of God and creating a true, good, and beautiful experience of the Catholic faith. I am proud to call St Augustine my home parish

Hello! There is a Catholic chaplain during the week at the hospital and we have volunteers who bring communion on Sunday. Be sure to let the hospital know on admission that you would like a Catholic chaplain to minister to you. We’ve been having trouble getting names of Catholic patients from the hospital without that kind of explicit request on the part of the patients or their families.
