Everyone was really very nice. Hospitality-plus. We didn't expect to be in Middlebury, but we were on a 1,000 mile motorcycle tour and we had a mechanical surprise that landed us there overnight. The folks at the inn took us in, gave us a great room (a suite!) and told us about all the cool places to eat in town. We need to go back actually. It's a historic inn, it's cool, it's old, it's real. It's in excellent condition. The suite they put us in was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was really nice, the shower was so welcome and good after such an eventful day on the road. The sitting room or lobby is really nice with comfy, overstuffed chairs. My wife and I were able to hang out there and read while waiting for the motorcycle shop for finish the work. It's a great inn and we'll be back! Maybe fall?

ROOM #117, Luxury room 2 queen beds was huge and so beautiful. This room has 2 bathrooms! Huge closet w 2 really comfy robes to use. In the heart of historic Middlebury. A wonderful getaway from life's busy schedules! Stay in the main building , worth the extra, treat yourself to a little luxury, you deserve it.

Friendly staff and delightful aesthetics nestled into a neat little nook of Vermont. The rooms are always fresh and cozy…might I add squeaky clean.

Positive: Prime location in downtown Middlebury. Walking distance to shops and Middlebury College campus. Free and ample parking adjacent to hotel. Hotel is older but very well maintained. Negative: As the hotel is older ("historic"), bathrooms are small with minimal counter space adjacent to sinks. Air conditioning is via window units, which are louder than central units. Ours was also somewhat quirky.
