Been coming here for over 20 years back when they had the boot cups. The food quality has never been comprised. If I ever come back to AZ I will definitely bring my kids to reminisce.

Decent place to go if you're not wanting to spend too much on lunch. I've come here a few times. This time I ordered a chicken chimichanga but previously I've ordered beef tacos and beef chimichanga on previous and all are good. They serve you with chips and salsa shortly after seating. When I received the Chimi, it was covered red sauce with small pieces of green onion and lettuce on the side. It was a pleasing to the eye. The chicken inside was squared into chunks and not shredded like one would expect and the dish did not come with rice and beans. I ordered fried ice cream for dessert as I make it my thing to try out the fried ice cream whenever visiting a restaurant that offers it. It's been one of my fav's since childhood. The fried ice cream was beautifully done. Served in a margarita style glass with whipped cream covered in strawberry sauce with real strawberry pieces. The flavor was good with hints of coconut and Cinnamon. (I didn't have any alcohol so not sure how the drinks are) Otherwise, not a bad stop if looking for decent Mexican food that doesn't squeeze the wallet.

My sister warned me about this place and said it's the worst Mexican food in town. When I got there they seated me right away, brought out chips and salsa ASAP and a Dr. Pepper. The staff is very attentive and brought refills of everything without having to ask. For those of you who like fountain DP, this is a good one. Great cheese crisp. Great beef taquitos. Cheese enchilada was mediocre, just a little bland for my liking. Guacamole was okay, I feel like I tasted green bell pepper in it which is not my favorite. Rice was pretty good. Chips were a little thick and the salsa was passable. Beans were the worst I've had, a little gritty and tasted burnt. Would I come back to try other things? Probably, but not before I try out all the other local spots.
