I seem to have noticed quite a few nasty reviews about Rosewood Health Care Center and I can somehow understand why people may feel that way, especially during this COVID-19 crisis our country is facing right now. However, there was a positive point that I experienced when my father-in-law was admitted to this center and it came directly from the Director of Admissions, Marlene Tapia and as well as the rest of the center's team. It's not very often that a family gets to experience a caring person who took the time to answer every question we had about the entire rehab process. You did such a great job that my wife and I thought it would be inappropriate to avoid submitting a review. Their efficiency helped us a lot in making the decision to use this facility. With Marlene, she made us feel like we were part of her family and made sure our relative was taken care of like her own. We really appreciate your authenticity, kindness, knowledge and sincerity. I believe this facility can benefit from employees like Marlene and should use her skill set in other areas of employee development.

I would surely recommend this place for anyone that has a loved one that needs a petmanent place or rehab. I know that people might be put off by the location, that's not what defines a good place. It has a staff that care about the residents. It's very clean and all the COVID-19 protocols are follow for the safety of the residents and staff. It might not be glits and glamor but what's important is that the residents looks happy and well cared for. Not everything it's perfect, like in any health care place at this time, the staff is short handed and the ratio between nurse and patient is 1 nurse per 15 residents which make the call lights take a little longer to be answered to. My exprtience with the staff was great. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. All my questions were answered in a timely manner. I was able to meet with both Admissions directors they were so friendly and caring. They listened to all my concerns, without feeling that I was taking to much of their time. I asked if it was possible to meet with the social worker and in less than an hour the he came to the room and I was able to get the discharge plan taken care. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

I will simply say that they are my extended family and the staff are awesome. Especially the Staff Employee Coordinator which subsequently has many hats and she is the life of the facility!! Shabazz I may have misspelled her name but her impact is phenomenal!!!!!

Among others, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Physical therapy (PT) examines, evaluates and treats patients with various disorders including musculoskeletal conditions, heart conditions, neurological disorders, wounds, and more. A PT also recommends devices that will assist the patient with function and mobility. Occupational therapy (OT) examines, evaluates and treats patients to afford them improved function in the performance of activities of daily living (ADLs). An OT might train a patient to use medical or adaptive equipment, provide splint fabrication, or perform neuromuscular re-education. OT also includes cognitive retraining associated with ADLs and safety, energy conservation techniques, and sensory deficit compression techniques. Speech therapy evaluates, diagnoses and treats disorders of communication, cognition and language. Sometimes, swallow studies allow for objective assessment of the swallowing function.

The cost of skilled nursing varies depending on where you live, what level of care is provided and what type of accommodations you choose. Most seniors do not usually meet their long-term care needs from any one source. Instead a combination of support private funds, long-term care insurance and government assistance is used to cover the costs. Medicare covers post-hospital, short-term skilled care only and may not cover the cost of ongoing nursing home care. For low-income seniors who meet eligibility requirements, Medicaid might pay a portion of the cost.
