Up until May, 2022 I would have happily given the ACSO a five star review. No longer. Unfortunately they have been called to my house on numerous occasions in response to my minor son’s violent outbursts. This last call was a result of my son hitting me so hard that I briefly passed out and was visibly bleeding from my mouth. They refused to take him for an involuntary commitment as they deemed him to be “not a danger”. (I was still cleaning the blood from my mouth as they said this.) They told me that policies had changed and they no longer had the mental health officer who had been so helpful in the past. A social worker from RHA eventually came out. Gave me some “ resources”, said she would contact me the following Monday. I never heard from her again. Sheriffs also suggested I drive my very agitated son BY MYSELF to Alamance Regional. I have never felt so unheard in my life. It was awful. They need to do better. Much better.

If you're going to pull us for going 56 in a 50 on hwy 87 N.. I'm going to need you to sit at my house, also on 87 N, and pull everyone going 75 in a 50 all hours of the day and night. Be better!

All interactions with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department have been 5 Star. From dispatch to the deputy who comes out on scene. Thanks for keeping Alamance County safe.

So call for the Sheriff to come to my house about a fraud report he was very unprofessional about the situation and wouldn't do a report for me to send in to the company

Questions & Answers

40 Year old son living with me and wife is either over medicating or doing something he should not be. He cannot stay asleep but keeps passing out for short amount of minutes. I am afraid he may be taking too much of something. What's my options?

That’s honestly not something the sheriff can help you with unless you want to file charges against the wife or something for mistreatment. You would also have to have some solid proof if you do so. You may want to contact his doctor and get them to do some blood work to see how much is in his system. You may also want to look into some sort of intervention/rehab services that covers over self medication

I’ve been treated by phone by a x con saying he’s going to break my neck. I take this very serious and I don’t like to be threatened . What rights do I have to defends myself.
