Bakersfield National Cemetery

They did that for us. Wonderful people there and such a beautiful place

No artificial flowers anymore and there are vases available on site and they do allow flags if you can fix it to where it doesn't fall over

The cemetery grounds are open every day from sunrise until sunset. The cemetery office will be closed today, but there is a Gravesite Locator Kiosk available in the Public Information Center near the public restrooms.

Please contact the cemetery office at 661-867-2250, M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. A Cemetery Representative can answer all your questions and walk you through the entire process.

If you look through their photos, there are a few pics in there showing the urn graves. White boxes. They are in a few different areas of the cemetary if I remember right

The cemetery floral policy permits fresh cut flowers to be placed on the gravesites any time of year. The floral display cannot be more than 24 inches tall and nothing can be adhered to the headstone. Flowers are removed the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month or when the become unsightly. Green floral cones are available in bins throughout the cemetery. The complete floral policy is available on the cemetery web page.

Only service animals are permitted on the cemetery grounds. No other animals are allowed on the grounds and must remain in the vehicle.

Yes to both questions. My husband was cremated and his remains placed in a wooden urn. Then we had a beautiful service at the cemetary. And the wife can can also be buried too and share the headstone. Husband in the front wife on the back

The cemetery will be providing flags for family members to place on their loved ones gravesites beginning at 8:00am. Remaining flags will be made available to placement after the Memorial Day Ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 9:00am

Fresh flowers are permitted on the cemetery grounds year-round. Wreaths Across America is not a cemetery sponsored event. It is a joint project of the Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club and the BNC Support Committee. Each column on the Columbarium received one wreath.
