I absolutely LOVE this location! These ladies are just truly the best around! They revive my faith in the state aid system to be honest! Every single woman (I haven't met a man working there yet, so sorry if there are any and kudos if there are!) I've worked with and spoken to have not only been wonderful and kind but go above and beyond in helpfulness as well education! Kelsey in particular (one of their nutritionists) is a complete lifesaver and doll! She is so sweet, thorough, patient, and a great teacher not to mention resource for any and all questions you may have. This location is truly amazing and I hope I'll never have to switch because they have set the bar impossibly high. Even the nurses at the vaccine clinic are grade A stellar! You really don't feel like this is a state run office because of how prompt and human they all are! No bureaucracy drones here nor hours of waiting and waiting. 100% recommended to everyone and so thankful that my daughter and I have them! They all truly care and have hearts of gold that truly want to do what's right and best for the women and children of McHenry county and Illinois :) Thank you to everyone who works here! PS The WIC app is awesome and easy to use to!! It makes shopping for items super easy! It gives you access to your food package list, locations available for WIC purchase based on your real time location, and a bar code scanner that removes the embarrassing back and forth from cashier to aisle from before.

I had an appointment to pick up a birth certificate and I showed up like 5-6 mins early, anyways some lady opened the door and asked if I had been helped, I said no & she said they would be out in a little bit! Anyways long story short I could hear ladies on lunch through the door to the right when you walk in, the lady had went and told them someone was waiting for a birth certificate not to go out there yet! HOW RUDE! I could hear them all saying “ ALL READY”. Don’t go out there’ and I just think that’s not the kind of people should be running a health department!
