The property itself is really nice, unfortunately the room we stayed in was pretty badly outdated. Think 80's simulated walnut furniture, and a horrifically noisy A/C unit that caused me to crank the TV volume up to about 70 to hear the Celtics game over it. The pool and hot tub were a little crowded but acceptable. The TV had no sound when we arrived but it was late so didn't want to call anyone and we solved by unplugging and plugging back in. There are tons of great activities to do in the area, but don't come for the room expecting a luxury experience. Also despite being a 1BR unit the upstairs bedroom had two full or maybe queen beds instead of the king that would have been appropriate. One would think in a room with sequestered sleeping quarters there would be one bed, not two. The sleeping option downstairs was a pretty spartan pull out couch. Think they need to invest in modernizing this property ASAP.

Ski off-season meant more hiking and shopping around on foot, and Attitash was right near plenty of trails, and about 15 minutes from the outlets and tourist traps in town. Very scenic.

This was a very nice place to stay. All went well until they called me to offer me a promotion. The promotion was a great deal. There was some criteria and the deal is attached to required attendance to a 90 minute marketing pitch during the stay. Phone call went great until I mentioned my wife had dementia and would not be able to attend the marketing pitch. The deal was on hold until their management reviewed my circumstances. Three days later I have a phone call which now tells me I don't meet the criteria. I am too old at 74. Apparently the first phone call which checked criteria did not mention age at all. As I pressed the issue of age, the operator, who was really put in a hard, place, flat out did not want to hear it and got pretty huffy and told me she had to disconnect the phone call. Despite the nice stay, this interaction tells me a lot about their management and staff.

Upon checking in to our room we discovered the upstairs was never cleaned. The beds were still left in a slept in condition from previous guests. We thought the downstairs was ok till I discovered the stove was filthy, it was never vacuumed and there were dirty dishes in the cupboard. It was like housekeeping slapped new towels in there and did nothing else. After complaining we were partially comped 1/2 night for the unusable upstairs. I still had to waste quite a bit of time cleaning downstairs myself. The next day housekeeping cleaned the upstairs, but we then discovered the heat on the 3rd floor was broken. The maintenance man came and said it exceeded his knowledge, but did try all he could to fix it. He was very nice and said he would bring back an electric space heater. He never returned so sleeping on the 3rd floor was impossible since it was 55 degrees up there. Needless to say my adult children were forced to sleep on the foldout couch with springs that felt like they were busting through your back. I complained to the man at checkout and he said a manager would call me, but that never happened. They clearly do not care.
