This year I was signed up for their coat drive I wasn't expecting everything else they hooked us up with to , besides coats for all my kids, they also sent home menudo with all the fixings, a bag of toys for each and even a food box, even as the streets where on lockdown they still took care of us you guys are great thanks

They are not a shelter, but their is a local shelter for women and children, I believe its the Turlock Gospel Mission. Westside focuses on helping the children reach their highest potential for life, by involving them in many social activities. It is an after school program. For example, the dance ministry also known as CUPS, teaches discipline, responsability, dedication, great behavior, and many other valuable life skills. They have a 4H program, there's also local fair activities, summer camp, coat drives, etc. They also insist on education as a priority. They encourage the children to stay away from drugs, and gangs. They teach about GOD, in addition to receiving a meal after school. I would highly recommend Westside to anyone who has children which could benefit from the many services they provide. The staff offers exceptional dedication and very ardous work towards achieving a place for children to be safe and have a life worth living; outside the streets.
