Nature’s Daughter
One of the best Zoo’s in town and surrounding areas. It’s surreal the wildlife they have. You often times forget your in Wisconsin. Animals live in close to home conditions and they are very friendly. Most animals you can pet and feed. If you would like to feel like your on a safari adventure rent the golf cart. Ps. If you would like to feed hungry animals visit the Shalom Zoo as early as possible.

Great day spent at the zoo with family. Got to experience feeding animals for the first time and it was lovely. Learnt a lot about wildlife from animals to plants. If you're looking for something not to expensive to do out of the house with the kiddos or even on a date, this is a lovely place to go. Not to mention the free ice cream at the end! 😋 Only wish there were restrooms closer to the beginning in the trail for those with children who always have to go 😅

One of the best Zoos and would recommend a visit. You can rent a golf carts or walk around the zoo about a total 2.5miles and there are benches across for resting.. There are wide variety of animals but would recommend adding few others like giraffes, elephants and rhinoceros.. free ice cream at the end was amazing. Thanks..

We try and go once a year to this hidden gem. All my children love this zoo as do I. You are welcome to bring in fruit and veggies as treats to the animals. Food is available for purchase at 5 per bucket. They also rent golf carts which works out extremely well for us. 2 hours goes by quick as we love to stay and watch all animals.

Yes, they are open Sept, Oct, Nov 5th 10am-5pm
The Cafe was closed when we went a few days ago.
I don't know about the wolves, but you can meet the coyote.
Wouldn't call it a Custer Park South Dakota herd. It was a interesting place to visit. Compared to other zoo's admissions, guess its not to far off. Nice assortment of wildlife. Wolves were moving around. Cart rental is a bit steep.
At the start of the trail you will go down a fairly significant slope and then gradually work your way back up. To get to the porcupine hut you will have to go over another good size hill. Overall the path is decent with a few rises here and there.
Must have a valid drivers license. I assume that means no temps.
You'll have to call them yourself. I don't work there. I visited the zoo.
The carts are a good price and for those with mobility/long distance walking issues, are a great option.
Breakfast is currently from 9AM-10:30AM, then we switch to our lunch menu from 10:30AM to 5PM.
They are closed until April 28th and they are going to have a tree planting event for Arbor Day

To add to the others, Elk, Ferrets, Skunks, Ringtale Lemurs, Goats 🐐 baby Goats❤, Zebras, Camel, Cougar, Baby Tigers 🐅 ♥, Bears, Llama, this place is amazing!! There are also places to have a picnic too. And they have a Grill for snacks etc. I promise you won't be disappointed.😊

Yes, many animals will eat carrots, celery, apples, sweet potatoes. The bears really like oranges (will jump into the pond to get an orange) and enjoy pb, jelly, and honey in plastic containers (just take of the lid/seals and throw it over the fence.) Do not bring bread -- it's toxic for some of the animals. Just let us know what you bring when you check in.
