Desert Museum is the only one that is typically sold, but none of them do well in our soils. They need really good drainage and we typically don't have that with our clay soils. If we get a lot of rain and they sit in water for a while they can get root rot and die. If yo want one, build a mound and plant it high above the existing soil. It will have a better chance of survival.

We do not have any avocados at this time. We primarily buy in Mexicola types because of their ability to take a little more cold. They are all type A, but will fruit on their own. They do take a few years (3-5) to fruit usually and will die if we get a prolonged frost or dip into the 20's for a few days.

We just have the Cookes in 15gal. They usually bloom in the 15gal containers. It is rare for them not to.

Yes, both grow rapidly. Gophers, unfortunately can and will eat everything. Usually, once established those two trees can usually keep up with the gophers, but it isn't a guarantee.
