Nice spot with easy access to the river. There are rope swings and a bench swing along the shore to swing into the river. There are tadpoles and frogs, early in the summer and crawfish and fish the rest of the time.

Used to be such a nice spot to go, unfortunately it's been over run by tourists. Still a good place to go if you have little ones! Easy water access and a safe swimming area. Just personally too peoply for me now.

Great day hikes! OREGON CREEK BRIDGE (aka Freeman’s Crossing) this is one of the oldest continually used covered bridges in western America. There’s some debate on the actual construction date but most agree 1860 is when Tom Freeman build the bridge. It was a toll bridge that took minors and travelers over Oregon Creek which is near the town of North San Juan and really close to the confluence of the Middle Yuba River. The bridge is now part of USFS Oregon Creek day use area. There’s several hikes in this area and you can go up to the Oregon Creek waterfall which is a great swimming hole in the summer. ( sorry about the graffiti it is really sad to see)
