My experience at the Walden West science camp was a real let down. I waited 7 years to go to science camp and it was really boring. The food was not very good and they would always run out really fast and I'm thinking it was ruined due to covid. So I just think it was not as fun as everyone I know has said.

My son had the most awesome experience as a cabin leader.

No, aside from an open house for the kids and parents to check out the great facilities a few weeks prior to camp, there is not any visitation time for parents during the actual days of camp. Five days of not seeing your child may seem hard if it's the first time, but the kids are kept so constantly engrossed in fun learning activities that the days fly by with them hardly missing you. You'll miss them much more than they'll miss you, but of course that's just part of kids growing up. It's a wonderful experience for the kids, and we're fortunate to have the growth opportunity for our students here in Santa Clara County. As s parent who's son attended earlier this school year, I highly recommend it!
