My husband was a resident for over 4 years. He liked being by himself and they respected that and were very accommodating bringing his meals to him. Staff was very good and would help me to take him to medical Appointments. Edgar I believe he was maintenance and would help me with driving!! Very Clean !! I recommend it!!

I had my mom here. Their COVID rules were all over the board. One day it was this rule and the next day it was something else, I think it depended on who you spoke to. We put my mom on hospice after she had a horrible fall there that made her spiral downhill. Once she was on hospice I was able to visit and provide my mom comfort care which I appreciated, but also know they couldn’t deny me that right to provide comfort care, I received legal Advice because at first they tried steering me away from visiting. I was able to visit and feed her once a day 4-5 days a week. It helped my mom to see me as she started to improve for awhile. Most of the care givers and med techs are great here. There was one that was always combative and rude. Uma, Jennifer and Joelle were the most professional employees I encountered. Their Director Marie is not compassionate or accommodating and very quick to assume things before understanding really what happened. She has a condescending tone that I didn’t appreciate. My mom was in active transition for 3 days before she passed away and she didn’t check in ONE time. My mom passed away 2 days ago and you would think the Director of the facility would call my dad to give condolences. She didn’t. She lacks empathy and that’s sad because she is managing the place. They are not trained well in “end of life protocol” and how to allow the resident to be in a peaceful environment and their staff could use some training on how to handle end of life. I felt from my personal experience this place only cares about the money. Knowing what I know now about how things are managed there, I would have encouraged my dad to put my mom somewhere else. They were always short staffed during the evening shift. They also started allowing family in to visit if they had the vaccine, but some of their staff doesn’t have their vaccine so that’s very hypocritical. If you are considering putting your LO here, be aware, ask questions and hold them accountable.

Wanted to place my mother here so that she could get some kind of care. Since she was in hospice status they wouldn't accept her because she is dying and they just won't make the money they think they deserve. Obviously they want your money or insurance money. Do a favor. Ease pull out your family and go on to someone else who really care about humans not $$$'s. Please don't use this facility.

Based on the data obtained from the trials it is recommended that you weigh the risks and benefits of the vaccine with your doctor if you have any of the following conditions: History Anaphylactic reaction related to an allergy: Speak to your physician about whether you should get this vaccine and where so that appropriate precautions are in place Pregnant or Breast Feeding: The trials did not include pregnant or breast-feeding women, however, CDC notes that if the person in a high- risk group they may still be candidates for the vaccine. Immunocompromised or are taking Immunosuppressive Medications: Studies have shown these individuals to be at higher risk for a severe case of Covid-19 if infected. The risks and benefits need to be discussed with your physician. IMPORANT: If you have questions, concerns or health issues please contact your doctor prior to receiving the vaccine to discuss the risks and benefits for you.
These two vaccines are expected to produce symptoms after vaccination, especially after the 2nd dose of vaccination. Side effects may include fever, headache, and muscle aches.
The Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines reported that both vaccines were approximately 95% effective at preventing COVID-19 disease. Both vaccines are administered with a 2-dose schedule, separated by a few weeks.
The vaccine will help create an immune response in your body against the virus. It may help keep you from getting severely ill, even if you do get COVID-19 and can protect you from getting and transmitting the virus to family, coworkers, and patients.
The mRNA vaccines do not use the live virus that causes Covid-19. They CANNOT give someone the virus and DO NOT interact with your DNA. It needs to be noted there are some vaccines in testing that do contain the live virus but they have not been FDA approved.
The FDA and pharmaceutical companies have been able to fast-track these vaccines because researchers used existing clinical trial networks, like those that study HIV treatments and vaccines, to quickly conduct COVID-19 vaccine trials. In addition to this, U.S. government and vaccine manufacturers invested millions of dollars to scale up vaccine production while clinical trials have been in progress to reduce the time needed to distribute the vaccines.
COVID-19 vaccines are being held to the same safety standards as all vaccines. Clinical trial data show that the vaccines that are approved are safe and effective at preventing COVID-19. However, it is unknown how long the protection will last.
Yes. Our community becomes your home when you move in. We do have house rules that we ask residents and guests to follow so that everyone can enjoy the community. Right now, visitation has been modified to help with the potential spread of the coronavirus. We are allowing scheduled visitations in selected areas of the community.
No. When you move to the Orangeburg Manor community you keep your own doctors. If you are moving from out of town, we do have physicians and clinicians that see other residents and we are happy to give you some referrals.
Memory Care offers specialized care and services for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or related conditions. Orangeburg Manor offers both designated Memory Care communities as well as integrated programs as part of our assisted living programs. In addition to all of the services provided in assisted living, memory care programs are focused of what is important to each resident, each moment. Team members understand the importance of meeting the residents where they are at, to seek to understand behaviors and to always act with compassion, dignity and respect. The familiar routine, programs and activities allow residents to feel relaxed and supported. Families also become part of our community, we support each other as we look for creative ways to bring joy and laughter to residents.
